Kaki Warner
Welcome to my blog! Kaki’s Blog is a light-hearted take on what it’s like to be a first time author. So I got published…now what?! I’ll be chronicling what it’s like to promote your first book, providing tips on how I got published (finally!), and let you know how I’m surviving my first year as a published author. My blog is designed with my fans, fellow authors, and anyone thinking about writing someday, in mind. Hope you like it!
Kaki,
Just a note to let you know North Central Regional Library did order “Pieces of Sky” for our collection.
Sincerely,

Hi Kaki,
I look forward to reading your books. My sister, Cyndi, is your neighbor and friend down the mountain. She was highly enthusiastic about your books and heartily recommended them. She knows I am a historical fiction fanatic and an aspiring writer, so she wanted to make sure I checked them out.
I am very happy to hear of your success and I am really quite envious of your garden. Cyndi says it’s as beautiful as it looks on the picture. I hope you post more pictures in the future.
Best Wishes,
Wren Thomas

Hi Kaki
I wanted to write and tell you how much my husband & I are enjoying “Pieces of Sky”. I see the romance, he sees the western …
I also wanted to say hello because I’m absolutely thrilled to be the newest author in the Berkley Sensation line! My first novel, “Under the Same Sky” is coming out early 2012.
I’d love to hear from you – and if you’re interested in my stuff, my website is http://www.WritingWildly.com
okay … off to read more “Pieces of Sky”!

I am a librarian in a town of less than 1,500 people. Open Country & Pieces of Sky are checked out constantly. I would be thrilled if we could win an autographed copy of Chasing the Sun. My wish for the new year is purely selfish. I wish to lose weight so I can fit in new clothes for our trip to Alaska in May.
Looking forward to reading more of your books.
I have just finished the Blood Rose trilogy and can’t wait for more of your books. You kept me on the edge of my seat from the start to the finish and I couldn’t wait for the next chapter. Love the way you described the New Mexico Territory because it made me feel like I was right there with the Wilkins family or should say I was a part of the Wilkins family. The 1800′s is my favorite reading too. I’m really looking forward to reading many more of your books as you publish them.
Congratulations on an Awesome beginning.
You are well on your way to being a famous author. Your books are exceptional and I love the way you explain the way the ranch is in “Chasing the Sun.” Your books are a pleasure to read. Thank you for bringing us clean reading.
My mother and I have both been looking for a new author who writes this type of historical fiction and I was so pleased when she happened upon your books at Borders. We each bought one – I got the first of the Red Rose trilogy and she picked up your new Heartbreak Creek book. The next day she went back for the other two Wilkins books – I read three books in as many days and I enjoyed every moment. I must say I appreciate that you seem to be a non-conforming type of author…meaning your books are filled with characters who may have actually lived and don’t spend half of the pages in bed but rather just living their lives – it’s very refreshing. I looked forward to enjoying the next family of interesting characters.
I fell in love with Brady in Pieces of Sky! I just read Heartbreak Creek! I loved it so much that at the last one-third of the book I slowed down my reading because I didn’t want it to be over! I appreciate that it wasn’t too sexually explicit as well. Some books make me feel like I’m cheating on my husband or reading porn.
Can’t wait for the next one!
Dear Kaki,
I have dropped a few notes to you in the past and even was lucky enough to win a book and autographed no less. How truely lucky I am and how I do so love your writing! Can you tell me when the second and third book will be released in the Heartbreak Creek series? Keep up the good work Kaki….Congrats on your well deserved awards!
Thankyou for giving us so much of yourself!
Marcia
Hi Kaki ~
So very happy to have found your books – bought all of them and loved each one. I’ll donate them to our library on my next trip in that direction. Your garden pic is lovely – looks like a place many of us would enjoy. Looking forward to your next book – so enjoyable.
Warmest regards,
Michele in Denver
I just finished Heartbreak Creek and can’t wait for Colorado Dawn. I discovered you a couple weeks ago. I agree with the comment about not having too much sex in your stories. Love the realistic emotions portrayed by the characters. I also read the Red Rose trilogy, well I wasn’t able to finish Hank’s and Molly’s story. I bought the book at Barnes and Noble, the only place I could find it, and when I got to page 200 the next page was 163!! Then it picked up at page 233!! I returned it and found that all copies on the shelf were the same. I was so disappointed and have not been able to find another copy in any of the stores. Oh, well, maybe the local library will get one soon. Are there any other titles I can look for? I want to read everything you have done! Have you done any contemporary work? Congrats, you are now one of my favorites and on a par with Jodi Thomas, Catherine Anderson, Nora Roberts, and others.
Sincerely
Jean
